Thanksgiving!

We had a good thanksgiving! We spent the day with our friends "that we make family!" Ate alot of good food - enough that Fischer got sick in the evening. (too much Divenity) Once again... I need to find the other camera to post pictures...
Friday we did a little shopping and spent the rest of the day @ the house putting up the Xmas tree and decorations! Fischer and Kennedy got a mini Xmas tree that they decorated all by themselves. Since we have no "front" to out house on the 6th floor; we decorated our balcony and windows with light and our front door! I put up lights over the hallway doors and Fischer was very excited... he asked me if we could leave his bedroom door open all night so he could look at them! Also, Josh bought me the Willow Tree Nativity set and let me have it early to set it out! It is very pretty!

Getting new clothes!

It is a rare occasion to go shopping @ Old Navy (for us) I got online and ordered us some cold weather clothes... because it is in the mid 60's-high 70's and we are freezing! -I know that is sad.- I think we are going to die when we come back to "real" cold weather! We got our shipment in yesterday! Kennedy felt like posing and also showing off her horsey necklace (it is actually a bracelet that Grandma Joanie got "me") But it fits her as a necklace! (click picture below to zoom)
Now it is back to baking and cooking for Thanksgiving! We will post some pictures of our goodies!

Sunday....

Today was a real nice day, we started it out with Tengan Castle Brunch... which we are getting quite burnt out on... it just doesnt seem as enjoyable as it use to. We are going to lay off the Sunday brunch for a bit, then we will be able to cherish it some more. But I sure am going to miss those apple crepes! ;)

After brunch we headed out to Cape Zanpa. It has a big Field and play area for the kids! We brought our kites and pet the goats at the petting zoo. There is a huge 4 meter tall Shi-sa Dog. We also stopped at 2 other horse barns to take a look.

We went to Jusco mall at American Village in search of a new place to eat. (since brunch didnt hold us over very long) We walked for about a hour and never found anything that seemed to please. We went into Tony Romas and sat down, got waters... then left... too expensive! lol

We went to the good ole' Macaroni Grill on Camp Foster and loaded ourselves with way more food than necessary. Kennedy and Fischer didnt nap all day, and were in the overly tired goofy mood... which started rubbing off on us, we were laughing alittle too uncontrollibly, so we knew it was time to go. Neither of us felt like driving so we went to the PX to walk around. We ended up buying some things; as usual. (when you just go to "walk" around.)

We got a painting that seemed well fitting to our decor. I have been saying how we needed more color in the living room, b.c we can only have the white walls and we have dark furniture. So this was a good improvement.

First Steps Football

Two weeks ago, Fischer started football! We go every Saturday morning, and he learns basic throwing, catching and flag football skills! The parents help with the practice and there are no "real" games, just 8 weeks of practice and they receive a t-shirt! It is really cute to watch all the 3 year olds play.. there is always some crying but lots of smiles! Here is a video of Fischer with the ball, and the kids trying to pull his flags... he has some crazy moves!

Creepy Crawly....

Today.... we hung out at the barn all day. (the kids and I) Josh had duty. My girlfriend Julie that works at the barn with me, knows that we do a bug collection. She went home for lunch and when she came back she told me that she had something for Josh! It was this crazy looking bug...
Josh thinks it is totally awesome!

Cylly

We went to the Karing Kennels on the air force base, for the kids to pick out a kitten. First there was a really hyper orange kitty, but he wasnt ready for a home yet, (probably better that way!) A adorable little furry siamese kitten, who just sat in the same spot and meowed the whole time! (too furry for us!) A older cat who Josh seemed very fond of and he was big and friendly. But he was already adopted and his new family came and got him! All the cats where in a room in the back except for 2 out front in the office. Another orange one, but he didnt look to healthy and a little calico tabby kitten, with one eye. We noticed that Fischer kept leaving the room and going in the front office, he kept playing with the kitten with one eye! Very friendly! And they liked each other!
We decided that we wanted to save the one eyed kitty! She is 12 weeks old and adorable! The kids were already fighting over who gets to hold her, before we left!
On the drive home, I told Josh that we should name her something in regards to "one" or "cyclops" but not that, b.c she is a girl and friendly! Josh is always the one that comes up with good names. So he came up with "Cylly" like Sally but with with cy- meaning one and a little twang to it! ;) She adapted to us right away and slept right next to Josh in our bed last night.... and he acts like he doesnt like her! LOL
Kennedy loves carrying her around ... it is easy for her to sneak up on her from behind... hence she is missing an eye! lol
She has already discovered the fish tank!

2008 USMC Ball

This is the only picture we got together all night... what losers we are! lol;)

Here are some pics from the ball.... Enjoy! I am adding a video on here of the opening ceremony at the ball! We got some professional pictures taken also, so whenever those are available online, I will post it!

Josh & Colonel Jordan This is Josh dancing.... I know "thats scary!"

Tonight we went to White Beach Festival! We played some games with the kids and then went to the "Smash Mouth" Concert! All 4 of us had a BLAST! We were about 5 feet from the stage. I thought that Kennedy was going to cry, since you could feel the music bumping in your chest! But she loosened up and started bobbing her head! Fischer had is rock and roll hands waving in the air! My girlfriend Penne had her camera and took some pictures, so they will be posted as soon as I get them from her! Have a good weekend everyone!

Finding some more pictures

I was loading new pictures of the USMC Ball and found these from Okinawa World! It was a cool place to visit and got to walk through the caves! We got some good pictures! (couple months ago)

Taking it all in....

Amanda on Big, Brittany on Sly, Me on Mocha, Brit on Al, Tonja on Makoto, Faith on Rocky
After working for weeks on the horse show and having the big day, I thought that everyone deserved some nice relaxing rides. All this week I have been taking my students on trail rides and beach rides! Last night I took the Wadsworth Family, Faith and Brit on a 2 hour trail and beach ride! We had a blast and all the horses/ponies were great! Tonja (below) had horses back in the states and since they have moved to Okinawa, only her girls have ridden and taken lessons. She hasnt gotten the chance to ride in 2 years. I dont think that I have ever had anyone so greatful to go on a trail/beach ride! It made for a great time!
